He has led both manufacturing plants and sales teams, as well as supply chain organizations and large strategic initiatives. He started his civilian career as a shop-floor supervisor for Schering-Plough. He held increasingly progressive roles in operations before becoming an award-winning district sales manager. As part of the original supply chain management team, he helped implement the first sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes. He led an analytics team that provided data analysis to address key issues for a 23-hospital health care system. Joe has also written grant proposals and published in peer-reviewed journals.
Joe's passion is to identify issues that prevent organizations/departments from reaching their full potential and work with the appropriate team to improve performance. Another passion is teaching others new tools, techniques, and ways of looking at problems. I have been told that I have the ability to explain statistics and data analysis methods in a way that is understandable.
